Patricia Jorquera, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Patricia Jorquera, MD (aka Dr. Patty), the founder of T.L.C. Pediatrics in February 2008, is a board-certified pediatrician and native Spanish speaker, born in Chile. Graduate of the New York University School of Medicine and Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital Residency Program, she has been practicing general pediatrics in Fairfield County since 1999, specializing in lactation, adolescent female issues and obesity. Dr. Patty's mission at TLC Pediatrics is to serve her patients with the highest quality of care, in a friendly, family style environment. Dr. Patty is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Fairfield County Medical Association, and the Connecticut Medical Society.
Dr. Patty is also the co-founder of HealtheChildren.us, a non-profit organization whose main goal is to lend a hand in the development of clinics that serve the indigent in third world countries. She has volunteered in medical clinics in Ecuador since 2006, and most recently traveled to Haiti in January 2010 to assist in the relief efforts after the earthquake. She is currently contributing to the opening of a medical clinic in Jacqmel, Haiti.
And last but not least, Dr. Patty is the mother of two active young boys, Alejandro and Nicolas.
Catherine Ford, M.D., F.A.A.P
Dr. Catherine Ford is a board certified pediatrician and a graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed her Pediatric residency at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Ford also was employed as Assistant Program Director/ Pediatric Chief Resident at Emory from 2000-2001. Dr. Ford developed a working knowledge of medical spanish during her years working in the inner city of Atlanta, and during a medical mission to the Dominican Republic. She also volunteered on a mobile medical van providing care to homeless teenagers in Boston.
Dr. Ford worked in private practice for 7 years in the Boston area prior to relocating to Fairfield County. Her special interests include neonatal care, adolescent care and sports medicine.
