Patricia Jorquera, MD (aka Dr. Patty), the founder of T.L.C. Pediatrics in February 2008, is a board-certified pediatrician and native Spanish speaker, born in Chile. Graduate of the New York University School of Medicine and Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital Residency Program, she has been practicing general pediatrics in Fairfield County since 1999, specializing in lactation, adolescent female issues and obesity. Dr. Patty’s mission at TLC Pediatrics is to serve her patients with the highest quality of care, in a friendly, family style environment.

Employees are carefully chosen for their disposition and ability to perform their work in a friendly and helpful manner. Families will not be subjected to long waiting times, and Dr. Patty will employ a computer-based electronic medical record to expedite referrals to specialists and the preparation of medical forms.

Jens Haerter is a board certified Physician Assistant, and graduate of the George Washington University Medical School. He currently practices both emergency and family medicine, but his specialty is pediatrics. Jens is a graduate of the prestigious pediatrics training program at the Yale University Medical School and Hospital, in New Haven, Connecticut.

Originally from a farming town of less than 500 inhabitants in South Dakota, the nearest hospital was over 60 miles away. Jens remembers: “We had one doctor, for our little town, and a dozen other little towns, and the surrounding Amish communities as well. This doctor remembered everyone on a first name basis, and he always remembered the most important things about the patients, like the names of their children or pets. To this day, I try as much as I can to be like that small town doctor.”

Jens also speaks Spanish, and enjoys partnering to provide community service. He has volunteered for over 4 years on the Danbury Hospital Wellness on Wheels outreach van, and he is a founding member of HealtheClinic, a nonprofit devoted to improving community based health care in developing countries.
