Our Vaccine Philosophy
At TLC Pediatrics, we fully support the proven safety and effectiveness of vaccines. Decades of research and clinical evidence show that vaccination saves lives and prevents the spread of life-threatening illnesses.
We firmly believe:
- Vaccines protect against serious disease and death.
- Vaccines are safe and thoroughly tested before approval.
- Children and adolescents should receive all immunizations recommended by the AAP.
- Vaccines do not cause autism or other developmental disorders.
- Thimerosal, a preservative once used in some vaccines, has not been shown to cause autism or developmental issues.
Getting your child vaccinated is one of the most important steps you can take to ensure lifelong health. The recommended vaccine schedule is based on decades of data and experience from millions of children worldwide. Our team is always happy to answer questions and address any concerns you may have about immunizations during your visit.
Recommended Immunization Schedule
- Birth to 6 Years: AAP Schedule for Ages 0–6
- 7 to 18 Years: AAP Schedule for Ages 7–18
- Catch-Up Schedule: Guidelines are available for children who have missed certain vaccines.
A Lifelong Commitment to Prevention
Vaccines protect not only your child but also the community by reducing the spread of contagious diseases such as measles, whooping cough, and meningitis. Immunization helps protect those who are too young or medically unable to receive vaccines.
